0:00.0	Happy New Year, friends. We made it to 2023, and I'm betting that together we can make this the best
0:08.8	year ever. In today's show, I'm sharing a never before heard on this show strategy that usually
0:15.4	belongs behind our membership paywall. But I wanted to start this year off with a bang and reveal the number
0:21.9	one reason why our teachers find more success supplementing their income than anywhere else.
0:29.5	It all starts with the proven strategy that I'm going to share with you today. But before we
0:34.3	get started, I wanted to take a moment and shout out fresh starts. I think as educators, we particularly love new beginnings. Why? Well, it's kind of like a new school year for us, a new chance to start over with new students. And it's an exciting time. And this year, it's no different. I know I'm not the only human that gets excited about new starts,
0:56.6	but I also know that I'm not the same human that I was just a few short days ago.
1:00.6	And that's because New Year's resolutions, they're kind of my thing. It all started when I was
1:05.7	in fifth grade. I used to live in Macon, Georgia. Shout out to Macon, Georgia. I went to Sunny
1:10.8	Carter Elementary,
1:12.0	and I made a New Year's resolution to stop biting my fingernails. I didn't tell anyone,
1:18.1	but I made a commitment to myself and I followed through with it. For the first time ever,
1:23.6	I followed through with a New Year's resolution. And I didn't tell anyone about it, which was the best part.
1:28.7	Now, I still had some slip ups and I noticed that one of my sons, he has the same nervous energy that I used to have.
1:34.7	And it causes him to bite his nails in intense situations as well.
1:38.7	But my point is this.
1:40.7	Once I prove to myself that I, Casey Morris, could make a promise and keep it,
1:47.6	nothing has ever been the same. Maybe you haven't been keeping promises to yourself lately,
1:52.7	or maybe you haven't kept a promise to yourself ever. What if this year was the year that made
1:59.6	you proud? You always help your students. I bet that you
2:03.7	help your pets at home, maybe even your kids, but what about helping you? This year on the podcast,
