I am a 39 year old woman and I've always had a difficult relationship with my parents.

I've had periods of no contact with them.

In 2019, my mom ended up in ICU and almost died.

She's had major medical issues since then and will continue to have them.

I've been doing my best to be a part of their life since 2019.

We live within driving distance, but it's a couple of hours away.

Mostly I email my dad and talk to my mom on the phone once a week.

About two weeks ago, my mom got upset with me for not giving her more details about my

family's activities.

I was driving and talking to her and she started asking for details about a 50k my husband

was running.

Another thing, I honestly didn't have the details.
