Summary

In 1989, tonight’s guest, Daniel Gonzales, went on a camping trip with his son and a couple of his son’s friends, to Devil’s Lake, in Oregon. After walking miles in, with their gear, they got their camp set up without incident. Later that night, however, after they were all in their tent, the same can’t be said. They were about to have an experience none of them would ever forget! We hope you’ll tune in and listen to Daniel chronicle what happened that night.

0:18.1	I was born and raised in Patterson, New Jersey
0:30.0	but always wanted to be close to the woods, the mountains. It has been a long life or lifelong sorry hobby of mine to go fishing camping
0:39.0	Had my own horses etc to eventually as a result of that I ended up in a then small city named Hood River in the state of Oregon.
0:52.0	That is as far north as you can get is right on the Columbia River.
0:56.0	And it is approximately 50 miles to the east of Portland Oregon.
1:05.0	Oh, I wanted to add, I'm a mechanical engineer, retired, of course, I'm now 72 and I have never just for the benefit of those who wonder I have never ever
1:20.1	ever had any need for psychological help or consultation of any sort. I don't believe in
1:28.5	ghosts. I never had any issue with that.
1:33.0	During that time in the state of Oregon,
1:36.6	of course I had heard comments about Bigfoot.
1:40.7	I was friends for the family that were timber cutters and a friend of mine actually said
1:46.8	that they had seen this animal slash human being called Sasquash or Bigfoot.
1:56.5	And I didn't either believe it,
1:58.5	nor did I disbelieve it.
1:59.9	I took it out of my mind and I went on.
2:09.6	And, uh... I took it out of my mind and I went on and every year for hunting I would go to this spot that's right on the Pacific Coast Trail, which is a trail that starts in Mexico and ends in Canada,
2:20.0	and it cuts across the mountains of Hood River or Oregon in general.
2:25.0	But it is Hood River. I had horses and I could actually saddle my horses and my property
2:31.0	and ride to the Pacific Rest Rail.
