Mary Ann. Welcome to the program. Thank you. Should I give the question first or the issue?

Well, you can't ask me a question if I don't know the issue.

Okay, the issue is a few days ago, my daughter called and asked if we would babysit her two kids,

ages five and six, for a few nights while they went out of town. They have

fluffed at our house many times. I babysat many times. So that was not an issue I

readily agreed.

The next day I realized that, oh, we could take the kids to our lake house,

which is an hour and a half away.

The kids have been there.

My children all grew up there, and so I sent a message for my daughter

saying, would like to do that.

She retorted, no, she didn't think that was a good idea that maybe I'm getting too old to drive and it might be better if we just stayed home with that.

So my question is, I don't know where this came from, but my question is, what do I say to her?

Because there's no truth in that sense of it.

You say, okay, I'll watch at your house that's what you say.

Oh, okay. You don't go to war.

First of all if I were your daughter and I'm older than you so I couldn't pull that off, either could you?

I would say no at their age I wouldn't want them anywhere near a lake unless I was there.

So at this point you you've added a circumstance, which is unusual, and they feel more secure

with you sitting in their home.
