Today we have an encore lift from Lisa McAnnellys.

She's a Christian science practitioner from Boise, Idaho.

Our family was planning an eight-day self-guided rafting trip on the middle fork of the salmon

river in the Idaho wilderness. A month before the trip, I had damaged my knees, working on preparing

an older home for moving our home from one state to another. I could not bend my knees

without great effort and intense pain. And I was praying more to realize the truth of my identity

as a child of God, with all the good God includes, and not seeing myself as a mortal woman with a

disabling condition. The day before the rafting trip, my daughter and my son came to me and asked

me what was going on, and I just let him know all my concerns. And my son said to me and asked me what was going on and I just let him know all my concerns. And my son

said to me, Mom, this is an opportunity for you to kneel at the feet of Christ. I took it as

this was an opportunity for me to express complete humility

and to lean fully on God and God's message of healing that comes from the Christ.

I think of the Christ as the highest ideal of God as a divine

influence in human consciousness, speaking right to us, and wasn't kneeling in front of Jesus,

but it was to just take a mental posture of humility to just rely on this divine idea to

help me know what to do and when to do it and how to do it.

With that, I did proceed on to the trip.

And we launched our four rafts with two people and all our gear in each raft.

And after making it through the first obstacles, one of our rafts got pinned on a rock in the middle of the river.

My husband jumped out with our ropes and pulleys to assist with the

recovery. I was left standing on a steep bank of boulders holding onto our raft's bowline,
