Welcome to the Optimal Protein Podcast. I'm Vanessa Spina. Hello, my friends. Welcome back to the podcast. I'm your host, Vanessa, and I am super pumped for today's episode. We are talking all about my daily routine, what I eat in a day, what I do in terms of supplementation, workouts, movement, and any kind of biohacks. I've been getting a lot of questions

0:22.4

from you all on what I do. And I wanted to dedicate a specific episode just to my daily

0:28.2

routine and what I eat in the day and do supplement and biohack wise. So I'm super excited to get

0:34.0

into this episode. Let's take a quick break and we will jump into today's episode.

0:39.0

Friends, I want to tell you about a very important nutrient that many of us are deficient in

0:44.7

and not even aware of it. And that nutrient is light and specifically red light. I am so

0:51.7

passionate and obsessed with the incredible amount of science behind red light

0:57.1

therapy's ability to support our mitochondrial health. Now, our mitochondria, as you probably know,

1:02.6

are responsible for helping us to do pretty much everything in our bodies at the cellular level.

1:08.9

Now, when it comes to energy levels, our immunity, our skin

1:13.9

health and beauty, and even our metabolic health and fitness, so much is connected back to

1:20.1

our mitochondria's ability to function optimally. Now, we talk on this podcast all the time

1:25.3

about different strategies from exercise, intermittent fasting, doing resistance training, and getting lots of autophagy and all the science behind mitochondrial biogenesis or the creation of new mitochondria.

1:37.9

But one of the best ways to actually support our mitochondria is using red light therapy.

1:42.6

And we can do that in the comfort of our own

1:46.0

homes with red light therapy panels. Now red light is a wavelength that is in the sun naturally,

1:52.6

but so many of us spend over 90% of our time indoors, especially in the wintertime. And we really are deficient, not only in light, but specifically

2:04.3

in the wavelengths of red light that really support our mitochondrial health. Now, with red light

2:10.0

therapy panels, you can actually get concentrated doses of red light that can help support

2:16.2

and boost your mitochondria's ability to function optimally

2:19.9

and the benefits are absolutely incredible and all documented in the scientific literature. I have

2:26.2

never really seen anything else perhaps other than protein that has this much of a positive
