I wanted to ask you about basically it's a problem I've been having.

Probably over 20 years, sorry, I'm going to try to talk normal.

But it has to do with the relationship with my dad.

Some of my parents got divorced about a little over 20 years ago.

He remarried and you know in my mind started a new family, although he didn't have bio kids

with a new wife. But the problem currently is you know when I talk to him, well in the past 20

or so years maybe I see him once or twice a year.

His wife comes along which I feel like she has seemed to alienate him from me and my other two

sisters and I'm just calling about myself. But you know if I see him, she's with him, she'll

start a scene. They have to leave early. If I see him and she's not with him, he's always

in a rush to get back home and she's calling him nonstop, early hour, checking up on him.

Do you know what I've noticed in over four decades of doing this program?

I've noticed that most people

raise the level of a parent to almost divinity and have the hardest time understanding

when a parent is flawed. And they keep trying to fight it when the parent is flawed.

They have the expectation that there must be something they could say or do

which would recreate the fantasy of divinity, perfection. Instead we're all left
