So I am 28 years old. My mom left my dad when she was pregnant with me. He is an

alcoholic. My sister was, well she's older than me, she's about four to five years old when my mom had left.

My dad was pretty absent through my childhood.

He would call and maybe send gifts here and there.

And we'd visit not very often, but I could probably count on one hand how many times

sorry I'm nervous it wasn't until, I think, probably my early years of college that he was around more.

My sister had a baby and, know we were kind of like established and my mom taught us how to you know take care of ourselves so we were pretty

independent and I think that he felt like he could come around at that

point. I don't know if that's maybe just a coincidence or what but so the past few

years we've been doing Christmas together. We go to my sister's house. My mom's there and he comes as well and he stays at her house for a number of days. So it's been pretty good with him. I kind of just try to, I don't really

expect much from him, but I'm also just happy to have somewhat of a relationship.

But so this last Christmas, he decided to drink for some reason and just made a fool of himself was verbally attacking my

fiance at one point and just kind of picking on everybody just acting like a child.

And the next day I wasn't there but my sister had brought him to the bus stop and said that he was just asking as if nothing happened.
