Welcome back to big important conversations.

This is going to be part two of my career story.

If you have not listened to part one, definitely listen to that one because it's going

to make, honestly, this episode is not going to make sense without you listening to part one.

And the backstory

is really important. But if you need a refresher, if it's been a hot second since you listened to

part one last week or in another time, we left off at the part of my career story where I had just

graduated from college. So again, I graduated from Brown in May 2018. I graduated with a degree in gender studies and entrepreneurship.

I wrote my honors thesis on female self-agency and entrepreneurship and venture capital.

I was about two weeks out from having my book come out, her big idea, which was based off

of my thesis.

And the last episode explains how it came to be for me to be writing and publishing

this book with Eric Custer and the Creators Institute. But I had also decided to take a full-time

job that was going to start officially in July of that summer with Next Gen Summit, the community
