So, I am here with Asari Nichols London Real Business Accelerator Graduate Welcome to the studios. Thank you. Tell us about you. Tell us about your

business. Okay so I'm an independent contractor

in compliance consulting, having previously worked

for four years at a financial conduct authority,

where I did a graduate scheme.

But before getting on that graduate scheme,

it was a hellacious process, like really difficult getting there.

Took about 16 months to actually finally land a graduate scheme out of university and

that experience helped me to come up with the idea of Tough Love Grad which helps graduates and students get onto to graduate schemes.

And so that was, well, it wasn't the business I originally went into the business accelerator with,

but it's a business I ended up with at the end.

Talk to me about that change because you did come up with something different in the beginning.

Talk about pivoting. Why did you do it?

So my, the business I was planning to do in the in the business accelerator was like a

marketplace so it was a similar kind of thing. It was people helping others get

onto jobs and graduate schemes. I think the reason why I wanted to do that

original business I would tell myself that it was because I didn't have the time to

do a lot of the things that I was doing in Tough Love Grad.

And that's what I tell myself I was thinking, I need the way around this, maybe I do a marketplace,

and people who want to spend that time and do it.

But the truth was I just wasn't confident in myself.
