| 0:00.0 | Thanks for listening to my call of the day podcast. You can hear my live radio program Monday through Friday from 2 to 5 p.m. Eastern time on serious XM. |
| 0:10.0 | I'm 11. Mary, welcome to the program. Hey, Dr. Laura. It's good to hear your voice. Thank you. |
| 0:18.0 | I'm just calling. I've learned a lot by listening to your show and I wanted to find out how to do the right thing. |
| 0:26.0 | Okay. I have a brother that's 12 years older than I am. I'm 61. He's 73. This is not his most fortunate lifetime. |
| 0:39.0 | He has lost his wife and both of his kids to Huntington's disease. And about three. Yeah. |
| 0:49.0 | And about three years ago, he was diagnosed with bladder cancer. So understandably, he is anxious, stressed. |

| 1:39.0 | And I live with him. I do not know. |
| 1:44.0 | Oh, how often do you have to spend time with him? |
| 1:50.0 | You know, he's a snow bird that goes to Arizona for the winter. He's holding on in a month in a week. How often do you spend time with him? |
| 2:01.0 | In the winter, two weeks in the summer, probably twice a week. |
| 2:07.0 | And why twice a week in the summer? |
| 2:11.0 | Because he comes back to Minnesota where I live. |
| 2:16.0 | Are you married? |
| 2:19.0 | No. |
| 2:21.0 | Oh. |
| 2:29.0 | So would you rather spend less time with him during the summer? |
| 2:37.0 | You know, during the summer, it's short. It's like maybe a couple of hours at a time. And so I can really deal with that. |
| 2:46.0 | But just having come back. |
| 2:47.0 | You're not, you're just calling to vent then. |
| 2:52.0 | Well, it's okay. |
