Yes, I'll get right to it. It's in regards to my wife's family, my in-laws and my brother-in-law, and pretty much the preferential treatment that my brother-in-law gets. He's a year and a half older than my wife, going to be 36 years old.

My wife and I have an 18-month-old daughter. He has a two-and-a-half-year-old son, and him and his wife moved in with my mother-in-law right before. My mother-in-law and my wife were supposed to be working together from home, taking care of my daughter, so that my wife could take care of some.

Both of them or my wife could keep working. Anyway, they're just getting all the support. My wife comes to me, her crying periodically and doesn't like the inequity and the preferential treatment that they're always getting, more support, childcare, etc.

I know you have a lot of energy behind you.

Number one, I'm glad your mother-in-law did not raise your kid. I think you and your wife should raise your kid. So, I'm good with that.

Number two, there's a reason that the son and the wife and the kid moved in with their parents.

And it isn't because they were competent and successful in their lives.

Husbands, wives and kids who are successful in their lives tend to enjoy the independence that they've earned by hard work and sacrifice.

So, I would think that you and your wife probably are doing a better job in life than her brother is. Is that a reasonable guess?

Yes.

Well then, it is ridiculous of you to try to compare it. They're trying to save their parent's son. They don't have to save their parent's daughter because she isn't parent.

Right.

So, don't start, don't start, don't start, don't start with the it's hard, it hurts.

No, tell your wife if she and your complete losers, you can also move in and then you will be treated the same.

The reason you're not being treated the same is you're not the same. You're functional, he isn't.

They're losers, you are not. It's not the same. If you want to be treated the same, you'll have to be the same.

You don't need rescuing, your wife shouldn't be dumping your kid and going back to work. You should be figuring out how to budget and take care of your wife and your kid.
