dare to share.

I'm Kevin Allyson, and every Thursday we release these special episodes where we look

back at content from our earlier years.

Sometimes single stories, sometimes whole episodes, keep in mind that years ago people might

have awarded things differently than they would today.

As always, the title of the whole series, Risk, is itself a content warning.

This week a story that Josh Porrier first shared on the show in May of 2014, here's Josh

now with a story we call My Bodyguard.

So I was never the biggest toughest kid growing up.

I grew into myself obviously, but as a kid who loved Dungeons & Dragons, video games and

comic books, I was obviously the target of many of Bully.

I finally found a chance to get away from this from my parents, moved to a new neighborhood

when I was 12, and I got a chance to fully appreciate these geeky pursuits that I wanted

to do and enjoy that brand new undiscovered country called outside.

Here it was, it was a great place, it was idyllic, we had a basketball court and a playground

right behind the house, we had a two minute bike ride away from my best friend, and there

was a video game arcade and a bowling alley literally within a five minute bike ride, so

it was amazing, it was a great place to be a kid, and here I would finally get to be free

at Bully's.

It was about three days in when the hell started.
