0:40.3	So last year I got to be on this podcast to talk about my new podcast proxy.
0:46.8	The problem was that I'm a narrative podcast host, and the podcast I was guesting on was a comedy podcast.
0:55.9	This great podcast called Asian, not Asian Asian hosted by these really funny comedians, Mike Nguyen and Jenny Arimoto. I was terrified.
1:04.1	Could I hold my own with comedians? Would this be the end of my podcast career?
1:11.6	In the drive up to New York from Philly, I rehearsed my answers and kept checking to make sure my black eyeliner was not smearing off from my nervous sweat.
1:20.6	The podcast interview ended up being a lot of fun.
1:24.6	Easy, mainly because of Jenny and Mike. They made me feel at home. They lobbed a
1:30.0	bunch of softballs at me. And then this funny thing happened. After the recording, we were
1:36.6	walking through the halls, and Mike mentioned he had a niche emotional conundrum that he might want
1:42.9	investigated by proxy.
1:45.0	And just like that, I had nabbed my first case for proxy.
1:50.0	The case of Mike, the comedian who feels like he defied his fate by not becoming a doctor,
1:57.0	and is now filled with regret for the career that got away.
