Summary

Over the weekend, The Kennedy Center director claimed his X account was hacked… and that’s why his original tweet announcing ITS decision to end its partnership with the Washington National Opera was taken down. Richard Grenell was not happy with the media headlines that all read the Opera was leaving the Kennedy Center, making it the biggest departure yet in a growing number of artists who have cancelled shows or boycotted the center under Trump’s leadership. Many have commented it appears Grenell has found another excuse to blame hackers and the media for the fallout from Trump’s takeover.
