Hello, creatives. I'm Joanna Penn. And this is episode number 730 of the podcast, and it is Sunday the 31st of December,

2023, as I record this, but it's January the 1st, 2024 as this goes out.

So happy new year.

Today's show is another solo episode, the last in a while, and I'm sharing my 2024

creative and business goals, which also align with

some of the trends for the year ahead. So let's get into it.

My 2024 Creative and Business Goals. So I love January and the opportunity to start afresh, and I know it's arbitrary

in some ways, but I measure my life by what I create, and I measure it in years. At the end of each year,

I make a photo book, and I publish an article here, which helps me keep accountable. If you'd like to share your goals, you can add them

in the comments either on the blog or the YouTube channel. So, 2023 was a year of change,

culminating in my 15-year pivot. See previous episodes. So 2024 will be a year of consolidation

and optimization of my new creative and business

processes, as well as obviously writing and creating, plus surfing the wave of more technological

change ahead. As ever, I am a full-time author entrepreneur. This is my job, as well as my hobby.

So I have a lot of goals.

If your goals are simpler, like finishing your book or publishing for the first time or selling a thousand copies, then fantastic. You don't have to have such extensive goals as me.

But I will share mine in the hope that it will keep me accountable to you, but also
