Howdy, welcome to Married with Horses, a podcast hosted by myself, Lane Yautslaw, and my wife, Jackie.

In this episode, an introductory episode, I'll discuss a little bit about how the podcast came to be. I'll introduce myself and Jackie

and talk about our relationship just a bit, just scratch the surface, and we'll talk a little

bit about what our ideas for the podcast moving forward are or kind of what we plan on.

Of course, anything can happen.

But we'll discuss that a little bit.

hopefully one million that will be here before we know it jackie and i grew up in the same hometown

and we've known each other since we were little kids in fact the legend of our family the way

that goes is that our families got off the same boat in the 1850s or something like that

and migrated from galveston to where we now live in Giddings and a couple of years ago we actually

moved out to the house that Jackie grew up in where we produce and record this podcast and we actually

moved out of the house I grew up in into the house that she grew up in. So though our stories have

mirrored each other a bit and we've moved a little bit around the United States, we both actually ended up in the place we were born. And now we're back here. We're loving it. We're raising our two kids. We have a three-year-old journey and a six-year-old Jagger. Journey's a little girl, Jagger a boy who started first grade

today. Journey's in pre-K. So we're very blessed. We have six dogs, a whole slew of horses.

Jackie is a horse trainer and a professional barrel racer by trade, hence the horse version

of the Married with Horses. This podcast is going to discuss our lives. It's going to be

a conversational podcast, both between Jack and myself, and of course, we're going to do our

best to have some really great interviews by people who are in the Western lifestyle, Western

culture, or we're not really going to hem it into one little section, whoever we find
