Hello, welcome to the hook collective podcast. We talk about the NBA, which we're doing this Monday afternoon, early afternoon, joining me from Naples, Florida.

0:17.0

His Bobby marks our front office insider. What's up, Bobby? What's going on, guys? How are you?

0:23.0

Good. Also joining us from across South Florida in Miami after he just flew in from covering the filly game four victory on Sunday night is Nick Friedell.

0:35.0

Still in Philly.

0:37.0

You're still in Philly.

0:39.0

I haven't gotten to Miami yet, but I'm going to make my way there somehow some way.

0:47.0

I don't know if Kyle Lowry will be out there and game five, but I will be.

0:52.0

I forgot you changed your plans for this podcast. Thank you for changing your plans. You're still in Philly.

0:57.0

But it is. Hey, Nick, when you do get here, it is 85 and sunny. So that is what's waiting for you.

1:02.0

Bobby, I've got a bag full of like blue and pink shorts that I'm just ready to throw out into the world. So I'm ready to roll.

1:11.0

Nick, Nick's on vacation. Didn't you hear, Bobby?

1:14.0

I'm on vacation. I'm always reminded every day from from Timmy V.

1:21.0

Well, I am in Milwaukee where it is currently 60 degrees, but people are wearing shorts because that passes for spring and summer actually hearing Milwaukee.

1:34.0

So the plans are going on. We won't know what happened. These games that happen tonight. You guys will as you're listening to this, but we're going to branch out a little bit beyond just the playoffs for this discussion.

1:45.0

And since we talk about the MVP all season long, I guess that it's now finalized.

1:50.0

Well, you're reporting this morning that Nicola Yokech is going to be a back to back winner. If you listen to the Bontemps poll, which I think came out.

2:00.0

I think it was the third week of March, give or take. Maybe it was the first week of April.

2:05.0

No, I think it was in March. I should have looked that up. You knew that this was probably happening. I think in the Bontemps poll, Yokech got about two thirds of the first place votes. It might end up a little tighter than that.

2:16.0

We'll learn the voting when everything becomes finalized later when it gets announced. But, um, Bobby, I voted for imbede.

2:25.0

I guess it all at this result. Right now, what Yokech does is valued highly in the NBA. And it's valued by a lot of the voters.

2:35.0

And he certainly had a great season. It is unfortunate. This is maybe, you know, but maybe the second or third time in my career that the MVP will be awarded while the guy is eliminated from the playoffs, which is what you can use against Yokech.

2:51.0

That is what it is. I would assume that you're not surprised by this result.
