pitchers. That's right, a little bit of WaverWire pitcher talk here. Once again, the landscape

is a little tricky right now, not a lot of guys to jump off the page, so we're going to focus on some deeper dive names and some leagues that can possibly help you out. I'm going to start here with a guy from the St. Louis Cardinals of all places, Andre Palante, which is a fun name to say, just throwing it out there. But also, he's been fun over the last couple starts here. So Palante, basically the last couple starts, has been solid.

He has now had two back-to-back quality starts. He's completed at least five innings in each of his last 10 outings this season. And he's got a 376 ERA, a one-two-five whip. He's got 43 strikeouts to 20 walks. So the ratio to strike-out to walk is more than 2-1, which you always want to see. it's over 55 innings so you'd like the K-per-9 to be a little bit higher,

but beggars can't be choosers right now in the waiver wire when it comes to pitching. And we've all had a lot of pitching injuries with a hamstring injury just yesterday. We also had Dylan Sees go down with a hamstring injury. How's your hamstring, Welsh? I hope it's okay. Probably not great. Probably not great. Maybe a little bit better than Yuri, but not much.

Not much. So Palante right now is a guy that's rostered in just 22% of leagues on CBS, so that's lower in ESPN and Yahoo Leagues for sure. So Palante is a guy that could get you by. I know he's got to start this weekend, too, so hopefully that goes well. but the Cardinals have been a bit of a surprise team this year, Welsh.

They've been, I think, better than people realize. The emergence of Jordan Walker in that lineup is that middle of the order presence. I don't think anybody saw coming. And that's been solid. And Palante, I think what you want to say about him is solid, not spectacular. But right now, in some good matchups, I think he's a matchup play you can throw out there and feel

pretty good about what you might get in return, especially in those quality start leagues, where lately he's starting to actually show some promise. So Welsh, who's a pitcher name that you got your eye on this week in baseball? Yeah, I'm going to go to the prospect world, only 9% owned across Yahoo and ESPN. obviously that's going to be more in like the CBS world,

but this is just kind of a player that I'm willing to make some investment on in the waiver

wire, and it's gauge jump with the athletics, the Sacramento Athletics here. He had his first start.

The reason that he could also be floating out there is because you do have that like inflated

ERA. You've got that seven ERA after that start but I it doesn't tell the full story the expected

side obviously is much lower 3.85 uh low walks which I'm really encouraged about a 4% walk rate
