This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed Human. Welcome in, everybody, to Fantasy Bros. MLB. This is the Fantasy Baseball podcast. This is me Joey P. Joe Pizapia. With me, of course, is the Walsh, and it's all of you. The Peanuts and the Cracker Jacks right here hanging out with us.

And these are some hitters that we want to pick up in Major League Baseball this week. And I'm going to start with my boy, A.J. E. E.J. Ewing has been absolutely spectacular in their minor leagues this year, slashing 339, 447, 514, across 30 games between AA and AAA. It was a short stint, and we were speculating,

0:38.1

is this just a publicity stunt here by the Mats?

What are they doing here bringing up AJ Ewing so quickly? Well, we grew to actually learn last night that Luis Robert with a herniated disc in his back is going to miss much longer than initially anticipated, which means AJ Ewing is going to have a long run here. And I don't even know if we'll see Louis Robert again, to be honest. Maybe we'll see him in a couple months. It seems like a very serious back injury, herniated discs, no fun at all. So AJ Ewing gives you speed. He gives you contact. He gives you walks. This is a player that is kind of Kevin McGonigle-esque. Now, he's not going to have a lot of

1:11.2

power necessarily, but we're talking about a line drive machine who takes really good at bats. He got good plate discipline, pitch recognition skills. And he's guys going to fill up the box score too. So if you are somebody in a points league, you're going to love AJ Hewing. In Roto leagues, you're going to love him for the stolen bases and the aggressiveness on the base pass. Right now he's rostered in 38% of leagues on CBS, even less on Yahoo and ESPN. So once again, I know the sharper leagues and of course Keyburn Dynasty, he's probably already rostered, but make sure that you go ahead and pick him up this week because he is going to get an extended look. And it wouldn't shock me two weeks from now. He ends up not in the bottom of this order, but towards the top because of all those things that he brings to the table. Welsh brings a lot to the table. Welsh, bring me a hitter to the table that you would like to add this week in baseball. I'm going to go with your same theme. I'm going to go with a guy that actually we're waiting to see the debut. We're waiting to see it all happen. So like a young guy that doesn't have a lot of juice. AJ Ewing, this percentage, your guy, by the way, would have probably been lower just yesterday. But he went out and had a tremendous debut. And the thought process might be the same with Henry Bolt. So that's why I'm going to go with is only 11% ownership or roster consensus on fantasy

pros between Yahoo and ESPN.

2:20.9

Probably more on CBS, but like he's pretty wildly owned across the board.

2:25.8

And Bolt's coming up after a phenomenal start to the season, which is ridiculous.

2:30.9

158 at Bats put up almost a full season total 12 homers 17 stolen bases

2:35.7

a 348 average in triple a the 22 year old had a over 400 obp and over thousand OPS some of

2:44.2

the underlying stuff he was at the tippy top one of the best 90th percentile exit velocities in

2:49.5

triple A and what that is is that is the top 10,

2:52.9

essentially the top 10 percent of your exit velocities were some of the best. It was 109.4.

2:58.2

That's an elite number. And a lot of other elite stuff. He hits the ball really hard. He's barreling

3:02.6

it, doesn't chase a bunch. He does a little bit of everything that's great, a little bit of everything

3:06.5

they're missing with guys, unfortunately, like Lawrence Butler.

3:09.6

He has been the hottest prospect in the minor leagues. He gets the call up with an opportunity to hopefully stick around.

3:16.1

Pretty good defender as well. The summer months are close behind or close in front of us where, you know, the ballmarks might start flying a little bit more.

3:41.1

I actually just think this is like a really good opportunity and a really good run for henry bold so i probably try to get in front of it we've seen so many minor leaguers find success early on even if you gave up guys like carson uh benj or kind of like you know pushing back in here a j ewing's a good pick but i also thank henry bold someone to pay attention in that A's lineup. So that would be one I'm looking to pick up. All right, guy that I'm adding super utility. That's right, because it's useful, especially in those daily transaction leagues. And this guy qualifies pretty much everywhere, depending on the league eligibility. In my home league, he qualifies the first, second, third, shortstop, outfield, everything but catcher, basically.

3:58.1

You can play Ezekiel Duran of the Texas Rangers. Now, here's the thing with Duran. I know he's kind of a super utila guy, but basically he's settling in as the everyday second basement because Josh Smith has been out. He hadn't been hitting well prior either Smith, and Duran right now is slashing 296, 369, 480. So Duran basically has earned some playing time here Welsh

4:16.0

And as far as I'm concerned

4:17.3

You know three home runs out there, four stolen bases. Like he can help you contribute. I watched him a little bit yesterday in that bat and looked really solid, just hitting line drives and seems to be a guy that the Rangers are saying, all right, look, this is working right now. I think it's more of a short-term solution.
