I am Frank Stample joined by Chris Towers, and we have yet another prospect promotion.

The D-backs called up their outfield prospect, Ryan Walshmit, who this year in the miners, was hitting 289, OBP over 400.

Three homers, six deals, 877 OPS.

They DFAed Alec Thomas.

So looks like Ryan Walshman should be an everyday player.

He had two hits, three RBI here on Sunday.

Chris, we saw big fab bids across the industry here on Sunday night.

Would you consider Ryan Walschmidt a must-add player?

Yeah, I think, well, maybe not in your three outfielder points leagues, you know,

10-team three-outfielder leagues.

Those are, it's pretty hard to break in, but anywhere else, yes, I think so. Walschmidt is not necessarily the most tooled up prospect

who's ever lived. He has a good approach, very good eye at the plate, doesn't swing and miss a lot,

has like average power that plays up because he makes a lot of

contact and hits the ball of the pull side well and, you know, he'll steal some bases. It's a well

rounded skill set. This is the kind of skill set, though, for prospects that can sometimes play down

as the level of competition gets higher and they don't have like a single

carrying tool. I guess in Waldschmidt's case, it might be the ability to get on base that can

carry him. But on the whole, it's a very strong profile that's that's well, well suited to be

very valuable for fantasy. He should hit for some power. He should steal some bases, get on base a lot.
