I want to know what prompted you to write this piece in the New York Times.

So the piece that came out just a few days ago, I had actually written a week and a half

ago.

And it took about a week, this is what happens with the New York Times to finally get

a published and have the lead editor, say yes to the editor and go through the edits.

And by that time, Michelle Goldberg of the New York Times had come out with a similar piece

talking about how the GOP courted conservative gay voters with the anti-Muslim fear in 2016.

And then Dave Weigel of the Washington Post, who is now with semaphore, came out with another piece talking about how the GOP is actively courting the Muslim vote vis-a-vis the gay panic and the CRT woke panic.

And I want to put both of those in quotes.

It's very important because they can define CRT or woke.

And he actually reached out to some of these parents and got quotes from them.
