Elon Musk unveiled Tesla's new Cyber Cab and Robo van at a private event Thursday night in California.

The fully autonomous Cyber Cab has no steering wheels or pedals and Musk expects production before 2027.

He also introduced the robo-van design for

transporting up to 20 people or goods.

Musk who arrived in a cyber cab said Tesla's vision for driveless cars is on track

despite previous delays and will be very affordable.

You can think of it like individualized mass transit.

The cost of Cyber Cab, we think probably over time,

from the operating costs, including taxes and everything else

probably ends up being 30 or 40 cents a mile. So yes and you will be able to buy one.

We expect the cost to be below $30,000. Musk also showed off developments on the Tesla bot,

which he said could do various tasks like mow the lawn, get your groceries, and just be your friend.

Must says the Optimus Bot will eventually cost $20,000 to $30,000.
