We're going to do something that actually has a unique personal connection.

And I just, most of you know that I'm a musician, plus having been in radio for so many years,

I've been directly tied, and my profession is directly tied to music and playing pop music in particular.

And I know firsthand that music reflects a society in many ways.

And sometimes it actually leads a society.

I would hazard to say that the Beatles changed society all by themselves.

Elvis Presley changed society and culture all by his self. And there are other artists

that have done the same thing. We're going to talk tonight about music and refer to a book called

Music is Power by our guest, Brad Schreiber. We'll be talking about a history of protest songs

and how they reflect what's going on in the angst in the culture.

Plus, again, they also blaze a trail for culture at times as well.

And I'm really excited about this topic.

It's kind of unique for us to do this, but I think it's going to be fascinating.

In addition to that, Brad has written books about Patty Hurst.
