Yeah, well, I mean, for me, the whole Suzuki thing is that it really is all about child development

and music is just the tool that we use to work with each kid.

And, you know, I mean, there's all these different components about it as well,

but it's really this sort of set of self-regulation tools and emotional learning, really.

And so, yeah, it's a whole big picture, but music is like the glue that kind of holds it together.

That voice you heard in the intro is Heather Watson Hardy,

and she is the founder of the Greenwich Suzuki Academy,

which happens to be where my kids take instrument lessons.

Heather is a Suzuki teacher. Her school uses the Suzuki method.

This is a method that I heard about many years ago when my son started Montessori School.

From what Heather tells me, Dr. Montessori and Dr. Suzuki had ideologies that were complementary.

I would not consider myself a musical person by any means.
