So keeping around this drone attack on the Kremlin in Moscow where the Russians are claiming

it was an assassination attempt on Putin by the Ukrainians. The Ukrainians are saying we had nothing to do with it.

Of course that's what they might say or probably would say even if they had something to do with it.

But there are plenty of people that want Putin dead or it's the old double reverse where the Russians did this themselves

so they can go even further. With their awfulness I don't know that they have another gear.

It doesn't seem like they've been holding back at all but we'll see keep our eye on this story. It's only like an hour old.

It's a huge load of missiles unleashed on Kiev.

Specific attempts to assassinate Zelensky although he was on the run constantly in the early days and probably still is.

Inhiding essentially although he's certainly taken some high profile meetings.

Yeah, more on that to come.

Wanted to touch on a handful of stories that all are on the same theme essentially and that's the crumbling of America's government schools.

And I'm just going to touch on each of these things fairly briefly with a couple of exceptions.

But it's notable I think that they come from media outlets left right in center.

And in the instance the New York Times is reporting it's not just math and reading US history scores for eighth graders have plunged.

And it's not just the pandemic.

About 40% of eighth graders scored below basic in US history last year and basic is low.

A significantly lower than ever before just 13% of eighth graders were considered proficient.

New York Times in way that yeah part of it was the pandemic.

But part of it was that teaching history has become somewhat controversial in around America.

So I'll be vague about this.
