First this week, as we get older, we gradually lose muscle mass and strength because of an aging condition that's called

sarcopenea. Here on Earth it tends to progress slowly but for people who experience

microgravity or weightlessness in space, this happens at a much accelerated rate.

A team at Stanford University have been trying to find out why this happens and what, if anything,

can be done about it by developing a way to grow muscles in dishes that can then
