Fox News has been around for less than 30 years. In that time, think how powerful it's become.

The second Republican debate will be next week on Fox Business Channel.

The first Republican debate was on Fox News Channel. The Republican Party made it clear no other network would get one before Fox had two.

But we are going to take a brief moment and talk about the elephant not in the room.

The leading Republican candidate for president, Donald Trump, is in a feud with Fox in part because the network projected he would lose the 2020 election.

That's how powerful he thinks Fox is. He presumably thinks he could have held onto power despite not getting the votes if Fox just hadn't reported that.

Should I get up there with 10 or 12 hostile people and a hostile network and be abused with terrible questions.

And for all that time, Fox, Fox News, and lots of newspapers and magazines around the world have had one true leader, Rupert Murdoch.

Yesterday, though, he announced he's stepping down. This could have a profound effect on American politics, on American media, and therefore America large.

So let's bring in someone who's been reporting on Rupert Murdoch's reign for years.
