Summary

On March 10, 2005, 37 year old Jackie Neal was shot to death inside a beauty salon in Baton Rouge, LA. Jackie was a well known blues singer in the Baton Rouge area. The night she was murdered Jackie had been preparing for a weekend performance in Alabama. 1:04.0	don't know, Josiah is a 14-year-old girl who had been missing from East Orange and Jersey
1:08.8	and I talked about her in the beginning of episode 37. Now I actually should have given you all this
1:13.8	update last episode but I really didn't get a chance to so I apologize for the delay.
1:19.0	By now I'm sure most of you who have been following the story already know what has happened in this
1:24.0	case and the really shocking developments. But for those who don't know, Josiah was found in
1:30.1	New York City at a shelter on November the 11th. Now Josiah had apparently run away from her mother
1:36.2	who she is accusing of abuse. When Josiah was found she had cut her hair in an attempt to hide
1:42.8	her identity and when police spoke to her she would not give them her real name at first.
1:48.1	Now authorities said that Josiah accused her mother of both abusing her verbally and physically.
1:54.9	Now in recently filed court documents filed by Essex County in New Jersey, the prosecutors there
2:00.5	are saying that Josiah was beaten and stabbed by her mother. Now the details of this are extremely
2:06.5	disturbing. They alleged that Josiah's mom was beating her with frying pans, stabbing her on her
2:12.4	shoulders, spraying bleach in her eyes and pulling her braids out. They also alleged that
2:18.1	Josiah's mother would force her daughter to go out on the street and beg for money and when she
2:23.0	did not bring home enough money, then she would beat her. They also said that she then refused to
