As Pride Month gets underway, I want to reiterate to all of our LGBTQ plus listeners that we see you,

and we love every single one of you whether you're out or not.

You are beautiful, you have immense value, and you are exactly who,

and where you need to be, and I want you to hear that.

I don't know about you, Britt, but just in doing this show and telling these stories,

I have learned so much about the different communities under the LGBTQ plus umbrella and what they face.

Oh, 100%. There was so much that I wasn't aware of,

and didn't even realize I was taking for granted.

Right, and I hope everyone knows how important Pride Month is for us here at AudioChuck,

for our LGBTQ plus team members and for us as allies too.

And so today, I want to take you back to Pride Month of 2012,

when two teenage girls in love are forced to endure a terrible trauma

as the blush of their first romance gets twisted into something much, much darker.

This is the story of Molly Olgin.

At around 8.30, on the morning of Saturday, June 23, in Portland, Texas,

a woman named Chris is out and about at Violet Andrews Park with her husband Stan.

Now, it's one of those summer mornings where the sun is high enough to give off just this great light,

but the heat hasn't gotten out of control yet.

So, Chris and Stan are excited to spend some time in nature,

and do a little quality bird watching.

South Texas is actually a pretty good spot for this.
