Summary

Ellen Rae Greenberg seemed to have it all. She was beautiful, successful, ambitious and engaged to the man of her dreams.

In January 2011, her partner Sam left their apartment and went to the gym in their complex. When he came back under an hour later, the apartment door was allegedly bolted from the inside and he could not get in. He frantically tried to contact Ellen and he ended up breaking down the door.

Inside, he found Ellen dead in their kitchen, with a knife sticking out of her chest. She had more than 20 stab wounds, including many to the back of her head and neck.

Ellen’s death ended up being determined a suicide. Her family have always disputed this and have pushed for over a decade for it to be reclassified. In September 2022, the investigation into Ellen’s death was reopened.

2:16.7
