Dean Karayanis, sitting in for Derek Hunter, reflects on the murder of Charlie Kirk. The pundit class, despite this attack on one of our own, isn't seeing this as an attack on free speech or democracy. But it is. Regardless of the motivation, whenever someone who speaks out is slain, it's imperative that everyone condemn it. Instead, you have some Democrats and MSNBC commentators both-sidesing this, blaming the victim. The left ought to speak to its own base and the right to theirs. That, more than generalized statements of condemnation, will show that America is united in rejecting violence as a political tool. Also, a clip of the first time audiences heard Charlie Chaplin speak. His uplifting speech in "The Great Dictator" was a call to our common humanity and a call for us to fight for liberty, that is worth hearing at this moment.

0:25.1	As of you're hearing this, you know the author and radio host Charlie Kirk has been shot and killed,
0:33.3	slain. And I thought to myself, I can't put up the usual show I was planning to put up. I can't put up the one I already recorded.
0:42.3	I'm Dean Carriannis, by the way. I don't know when Derek will be back. I think he will be back Thursday.
0:47.0	He said he'd be back Wednesday or Thursday. He'll be back. But I felt an obligation to all of you in his audience and to Derek to talk about this and not just use this show that I had in the can, which was an interview that I did with Governor George Pataki.
1:02.2	He was the governor of New York on the 9-11 attacks.
1:05.0	And he wrote a book that I'd interviewed him about.
1:07.1	And I thought that that would be nice to share with all of you.
1:09.1	But then one of us got killed.
1:12.6	And I mean one of us, not a conservative, not a MAGA person, nothing like that, but a commentator,
1:19.0	a pundit. And having worked for Rush from the days of his TV show, when we were the Rebel Alliance,
1:27.0	we were behind enemy lines on
1:29.9	Hoff. We were there in New York City with liberals everywhere, as we called them then before,
1:38.1	somehow everyone decided to call them progressives. And doing what Charlie Kirk did,
1:43.5	I can't claim to be very familiar with his work,
1:45.7	but I've heard people with Deep Roots with Rush say that he was the one that
1:49.6	reminded them the most of Rush how Rush was when he started out.
1:53.8	So I'll go by that because I trust those people and what they think.
1:57.6	But I've seen the little clips.
1:58.9	I've seen that he was willing to go and do
2:01.5	something that few pundits, few politicians even, are willing to do. And let's go into areas
