The Twisted tale of a vanishing woman, a former SS officer, an alleged KGB spy, something with glowing red eyes, and the bludgeoning of four

young campers. In fact, it's actually two winding and mysterious tales that converge and span a number

of years. Twenty-five thousand mourners attended the funeral of a young woman who'd been found dead after having been

missing for many months.

Her name was Kiliki Sari, and she'd been found dead at just 17 years of age.

Her murder is the most famous unsolved murder case in Icelandic modern history,

and the shock of her sudden inexplicable disappearance reverberated throughout the nation.

In fact, the shock and the anger and outrage felt by the ordinary people in all the villages across the nation led to them calling

for the death penalty to be reinstated in their country as a suitable means for punishing

her abductor stroke a murderer if he could be caught the problem is that since that, the person responsible has eluded capture.

Although there have been some suspects, one of which appears to be a person with the most

intriguing background, and is quite possibly responsible for more than just the disappearance

and death of this young woman.

Well it happened in a western province of Iceland called the southern Ostrobothnia region,

a rural area with around 2,000 inhabitants spread widely apart from each other.

For the main part, the area was comprised of forests and swamps and farmlands.

Her abduction occurred on a night back in May 1953. She was returning home from a social event,

held for her Bible study class, and her only real social life appeared to be centered around her church.

The social evening had been hosted in the village hall and after it came to a close she set

off with her friend on their bicycles to go home. They rode together for part of the way

until they came to a fork in the road where her friend went in another direction to go back to her home,

and Kaliki cycled the short distance back to her home alone.
