Summary

In the Bahamas of the 1940s, private eye Ray Schindler continues his investigation into the murder of billionaire Sir Harry Oakes. The case against Count Alfred de Marigny appears strong when one of his fingerprints is discovered at the scene of the crime. And the two American homicide cops brought in to investigate are convinced of his guilt. But Ray suspects that someone powerful is trying to frame de Marigny. As the date of the trial approaches, time is running out for Ray. Will he succeed in clearing de Marigny’s name? Or will an innocent man hang for a crime he didn’t commit? 0:22.6	The 4.8-liter engine purrs soothingly, as he navigates the Palm Tree Line streets with the top down.
0:29.6	The car isn't raised. It belongs to Count Marie Alfred Foucahoro de Metanyi, Freddie to his friends.
0:36.6	But Freddy doesn't have much use for it at the moment.
0:39.3	He's locked up in a police cell,
0:41.3	accused of murdering his father-in-law,
0:44.3	the multi-millionaire, Sir Harry Oaks.
0:46.3	And Ray's doing everything he can to get him off.
0:50.3	So Freddy doesn't object to him using his car now and then, if it'll help.
0:55.0	Ray turns into a driveway.
0:58.0	The sign at the gate says, Westbourne.
1:01.0	Ray looks up at the house he's heard so much about, but is now seeing for the first time,
1:07.0	Sir Harry Oak's colonial-style mansion.
1:10.0	It was here, at Westbourne. Sir Harry Oaks Colonial Style Mansion.
1:17.6	It was here at Westbourne that Oakes was murdered in his bedroom upstairs.
1:21.6	The police say Freddie did it. Freddy says he didn't.
1:25.6	He claims that he was at home in bed when Oaks was killed.
1:29.7	Ray's beginning to believe he may be telling the truth.
