On July 27, 2012, 57-year-old Olga Francesca was found strangled to death in her home in Nairobi.

A death that may have gone unnoticed by the press had it not been for Olga's position and the new job that she took just 12 days prior.

You see, Olga had, on July 15, 2012, arrived in Kenya and taken over as Venezuela's acting ambassador and charged affairs after the previous ambassador abruptly left his position after accusations of sexual harassment against his domestic staff.

Not even in office long enough to make a decision that could potentially place her life in someone's crosshairs,

police turned their attention to a man named Dwight Sagaree, and, less than 24 hours after her body was found,

arrested and charged him with her murder on August 6, 2012.

Dwight Sagare, within days of being hired at the foreign ministry in July of 2010,

was sent off to Kenya where he was, just a short while later, promoted to the number two post at the Nairobi Embassy.

After his predecessor left the office amid those sexual harassment charges,
