1:22.6	As Scott Baldwin's health continued to decline, he finally agreed to do something he'd been resisting for a few months.
1:32.2	He was transferred to the prison hospice unit.
1:36.8	Before I was all the old school, I would say children, a youngster, because the guy who's next in age above me is 72.

1:49.7	There was no realistic chance that Scott's conviction could be overturned in time for him to make it home.
1:55.9	No matter what new evidence we uncovered, no matter what we found, there was no chance that he would make it out of prison before he died.
2:03.6	Except, there was a chance, a chance that had not existed six months earlier.
2:09.6	Because in 2025, the Supreme Court of Michigan ruled that Michigan's Constitution prohibited mandatory life sentences without parole for those under 21 years of age.
2:23.6	And when this crime happened, Scott Baldwin was 19 years old.
