James Stewart and he has written a book called Mystery at Blue Sea Connage, a true story

I always wanted to be a writer from the time I was young and was a book nut. And I should

probably have followed that path when I graduated from college back in 1980. But life as a

way of changing things, and I ended up going into the Navy and I stayed in there for 25

years on active duty. So when I retired, I decided to go back to school with the mind

of being a writer this time writing books. And so I got first got an English degree and

then I went to an MFA program at University of California Riverside, Low Residency MFA

program. And I needed a thesis topic when I started the MFA program. And I wanted to

do a narrative nonfiction book that covered an old trial or not, I'm sorry, an old case,

an old crime case. And I wanted it to be in San Diego where I lived because I knew that

research for a hundred year old case would be extensive. So I wanted to be located there.

So I started looking around and asking around and several people mentioned the Fritzie
