I'm Tim, I'm an alcoholic and an addict.

I say addict.

I don't know if it's an open and closed meeting, but I say addict because while I'm an alcoholic,

I'm also addicted to as many of you probably also are anything and everything.

Drugs, alcohol, sex, food, whatever.

It wasn't until I got into the program that I realized that I was addicted to everything,

everything you can, you know, everything out of the sun, but how I got into the program

was, you know, I definitely tried many times to quit drinking.

It was always quit drinking because drinking led to all the other things, all the other

outside issues that would go up my nose or smoke or whatever.

And I would always do really well for a week or two weeks, maybe a month if I was lucky,

and I would, I don't know if I was treating myself, I can drink one night, and of course

I would drink one night and maybe I wouldn't drink the next day, maybe it's been another

week off or a few days off, but I always end up back in the same place, leaving the bar

when it would close to go find drugs.
