First we have Nicole H She is sober just under 5 years and is from Phoenix AZ she is telling her story at the 1st Anniversary of the Phoenix Friday Night Young Peoples meeting in Sept. of 2020. Slight hum at the beginning of this but it clears up about 2 min in, it also sounds like an outdoor meeting, so the occasional car noise. David B was 27 years sober at the time of this (zoom) speak where he tells his story at the Hollywood Squares meeting held Saturday nights in Hollywood California, an LBGTQ and allies meeting open to all.Recorded in May of 2020. 0:30.4	My sobriety day is September 20th of 2015 so now fronts but if I stay sober for
0:37.2	about another week I'll get five years. I'll try to keep this short and sweet so we get out of here in time but no promises.
0:46.8	So I have a sponsor, she knows she's my sponsor because I talk to her daily even at this point
0:50.9	on my sobriety and I sponsor women. I think that second part is probably
0:55.9	one of the biggest most important parts of my program. There was a time where I thought that wasn't for me and I got to see what happens when that's not for me and I almost went back out. So today I sponsor no matter what.
1:10.0	So a little backstory, what it was like. I have a mom and dad that are super polar opposite of each other.
1:18.6	My mom's like a big Bible thumper and my dad doesn't really believe God exists. My mom's allergic to alcohol
1:25.8	much differently than I am. She takes the drink of a beer and she's got a
1:29.5	headache. While my dad is allergic to alcohol in the same way that I am that he is an alcoholic who hasn't found a solution yet.
1:39.4	So crazy enough they didn't work out right to two polar opposites like that didn't work out, right?
1:42.8	Two polar opposites like that didn't work out.
1:45.1	So my parents got divorced when I was very young.
1:47.8	That wasn't that big of a deal for me.
1:49.4	It was probably like one of the best things
