Hello, my name is Mark.

I'm an alcoholic.

I'm going to try to condense this in 10 minutes.

When I was growing up, both my parents were alcoholic.

They used to manage and co-owner Tavern in the town that I was raising in Los Angeles and

until I was about eight I grew up in that bar.

And alcohol was part of my life basically and it was just normal for me to have alcohol

around and I think I was about 12 years old when I first started to drink and I started

getting in trouble with the law and just doing stupid shit when I was younger.

My mother then father split up and with the trouble I was getting into, she sent me

to Arizona to be with my uncle which, you know, he was kind of straight forward but he

was an alcoholic.

And I started school there and he busted us one time.

At that time alcohol was, you only had to be about 18 years old to buy alcohol at that

time in Arizona and so alcohol was pretty easy for us to get a hold of.

And he busted us drinking and playing hockey sack in a park one time and we got read the
