Hi, everybody.

I'm Fran, and I'm an alcoholic.

I always wait for divine inspiration of some sort at this point.

I should say that I'm probably the abject contrast to John in that my life has been quiet and sad and anxious and full of worry and not one word

has been expressed but I had every single thought that he had except it was unexpressed

and probably everybody else was able to read that except me.

Um, I, uh, my beginning was fairly inauspicious.

Um, I did not come from an alcoholic family.

I didn't even know there were alcoholics in my family until a few trees were shaken later in my life.

I would like to say that I also had an advantage childhood.

The one thing, you know, about, about I hesitate I just to use the word

old-timer I like to think of words like mature and even old crone is better you

know now that I'm in that kind of transition.

The women in the audience would probably know what I mean.

But I would also like to say that it gives me an opportunity to be, to look at life in retrospect.

And I do know that although I say that I had an advantage of chartered, I've come to know with

the opportunities I've had by being sober that I've also been able to look at some elements of my life that have
