Hi, I'm Kim Alchoholick, thanks for having me speak tonight.

So my sobriety date is May 23rd 2014 and my home group is Empire Way.

My drinking career really towards the end of my drinking I drank one to two bottles of

wine every night, every day, 365 days a year for about 10 years.

And of course, you know, thrones and good weekends and some vacation and let's just say

I've heard that I've broken records at restaurants for drinking, especially in foreign countries.

So I had a pretty solid wine problem.

But what's interesting is that I never drank in high school and I didn't drink a lot in

my early 20s.

It was this constant slow progression that just kept layering and layering and layering itself.

And really the last few years of my drinking was just exhausting.

But what's interesting to me is that nobody ever confronted me about my drinking problem.

My husband didn't really think it was an issue because I opened the second bottle by

the time he went to bed.

So he didn't really notice that I was going into bottle number two at 10 o'clock at night.

And I didn't hide bottles because every day I would just stop by the liquor store on the

way home and pick up a couple bottles of wine and that seems pretty normal, right?
