Hey guys, so just before I came over here I was sort of frantically cinching down my canoe

and I had to tie a bone and my dad taught me how to tie a bone and I was really young,

he was a sailor and so I was really glad that I knew how to tie a bone because I know

that that knot will last if work, I don't have to question it, I just blank faith sort

of thing and I was like, well I was kind of a good metaphor for AA, you know, it's like

this is a tested knot in a sense, it's like, prior, okay so let me back up, I got sober

June 18th 2009 in Annapolis, Maryland, I was sort of shuffled from psych ward to treatment

center to halfway house down in Florida, Delray Beach which is this sober capital and it

was rough, I was just looking and noticing that you have only seven days and you're smiling

I was like, I don't think I smiled for like three months, I was just confused, I didn't

know, I didn't know, it was a rebirth, an unplanned sort of rebirth that in an existential

rebirth I was like, whoa, now what do I do? Show me, you know, so then so they sort of brought

me into the rooms and I started, you know, through these intangible elements, I'm like, oh my

God, I'm starting to regain that zest for life, you know, I'm smiling, laughing, I'm listening

to these people and I'm like, and I'm like, oh my God, you know, you know, it all started
