So I guess I'll start off by saying

I have 15 months sober.

It's the longest time that I've had.

I've been in AA since January 1st of 2017 and for about the first 18 months I was the

since practically the day that I was born I kind of was born into addiction and alcoholism and my father loved to remind me of it. Worned me of it almost all the time, especially as I got into high school and college, was, you know,

for telling me that I was bound to be an alcoholic because it's in my family.

But of course, I had to prove him wrong.

Yeah, I only proved them right.

I think, you know, what it was like I'm not going to spend a whole lot of time on that but it was mostly feeling different than finding something to change the way that I was feeling, trying to fit in, and never quite succeeding.
