I'm Christine, I'm an alcoholic.

Wow, this meeting has gotten really full.

In line of groups of my home group, there's my sponsor, my sobriety date, September 19, 2003.

I'm living in steps 10, 11, and 12, and I'm revisiting step two.

And it's always really an honor and privilege to do service at any meeting of alcoholics and

physical allergies.

So I guess a little bit of what it was like and what happened and what it's like now.

I don't know, I've heard people say that alcoholism is a three-fold disease, it's a mental

obsession, a spiritual malady, and a physical allergy, and I think in the beginning when

it first came into the program, I didn't really understand what that meant, but I think I

have a better grasp of that now.

They say those of us who are alcoholics tend to feel restless, irritable, and discontent,

and I think I've always felt that sort of a partners, just even growing up, I've always

felt like there was sort of like glass pain between me and other people, and I can never

really kind of breach that glass and connect with other people.

And I was at a meeting earlier today at a beginner's meeting, and someone was there who said,

you know, he drank to get normal, and I really identified with that, because I think even
