My name is Annie, I'm an alcoholic.

I started coming to this meeting a couple of months ago and I've been really, really loving

it and I love that we have business meetings here and the regular group members who come

here are really kind and welcoming, even to me, so I have appreciated that.

And I'm really happy and grateful to have gotten to be sober for the past 11 years.

The last 11 years I spent in AA and I can explain what that means after I tell you about

what it was like for me.

I spent it like thoroughly in AA, so much in AA that I married someone in AA and she

asked me to speak tonight, thank you Miles.

I'm 39 years old, I started drinking when I was 13 and there's something that happened

for me when I picked up the first drink which is that I just felt like I found something

that was supposed to be in my body like all along and something very like familiar and

I already did like my family at that time so there's something like I had come home

it was not the easiest thing to find a way to drink because I was very young and I had

to you know like tell a lot of lies to be able to drink and I just learned how to lie really
