Friends, a few years ago, every time I opened my eyes, I prayed to God to take me away from

this miserable life that I was leading.

The misery that I was causing, my family, my friends, and individuals around me.

Friends, now when I open my eyes every morning, and when my feet touch the ground, I run,

Friends, that is all because of this fellowship of alcoholics anonymous, and what I've found

Friends, I came from a background where I had to start work at a very young age while

still in school, in order to earn some funds to sustain my schooling career, and me, other

stuff, what a growing teenager would require.

I had started work part-time for a gentleman who I had worked for after I finished school.

I worked until late in the evenings, and as a result, I should fall off to sleep while

working for this gentleman.
