Hundreds of flights have already been canceled or delayed this morning.

Meanwhile, the Transportation Department is vowing to transform the air traffic control system in the United States.

It comes as new audio reveals the tense moments during a communication outage at Newark last month.

It was so traumatizing that some controllers had to take special

leave, making an existing staffing shortage even worse. No, you do not have a Bravo clearance.
