What's up you guys? Sean Ross Sapp, welcome to Fightful, here with a name you know, someone who I mentioned a number of times, extremely important to my career.

One of the big reasons that Fightful exists, in my opinion. We got Mark Kapani, formerly known as Muhammad Hassan, ahead of the dark side of the ring episode covering his career that airs on May 27th on Vice. Mark, it's lovely to see you. Great, great to talk to you again. Yeah, you too, man. It's been a little while. I saw you last year. Yeah, I ran into you at RussellCon. I had a very narrow window and I was like,

you know what? I want to swing by there at least to say hi and thank you to you. I mean, it was

wild how we got connected. I reached out to a Twitter egg account that may or may not have been

you and we set up an interview almost 10 years ago.

You were the,

you were the first in-depth interview that I ever did post-wrestling.

Yeah, I was, I was shocked, man.

Like, I was trying to separate myself from what they call the aggregators and show

that I could do something different.

And to me,

there was no more interesting story than yours. And I reached out to a Twitter account with your

name on it that hardly tweeted. And you're like, yeah, I'll do an interview. And I was,

I was so blessed to have, to have gotten that. So was I, because that interview, I thought you did a great job. It was a lot different than I

thought it was going to be. And I think that opened me up to start and do more interviews slowly.

It took a little bit of time. But after that interview and after reading what you wrote and seeing

what they could be, as opposed to a lot of the interviews that I had read previously, definitely piqued

my interest. And I've been doing a lot more interviews since.

So I credit you for that.

Otherwise, I'd still be in my cave tweeting once every seven years.

Well, I appreciate it.
