This is a name drop the reason we started the ding years ago is because I love

the name drop I've always loved a name drop long before I had a radio show I

love to name drop I kind of feel like if you admit your name dropping before

you do it it's not like you're trying to impress somebody with your name

dropping it's just what you do and you got to cut somebody some slack for that

but if you don't that's your business so I'm talking to the CEO of our

company Bob Pittman who was the founder at 27 years old of MTV this past

weekend and no you're not getting raised we were well I'll talk about what we

were talking about later but we were talking about ZZ top and I made

this statement that I think MTV did more for the career of ZZ top than any

other band when you consider where ZZ top started and where ZZ top was

at the end of a liminator right when eliminators fame had really reached

his peak now there are a lot of people in Houston that don't like that fact

because there are a lot of people and you find this with art you find it with

restaurants you find it with a lot of things there are a lot of people that

really just wanted ZZ top to be a white blues band that was quirky from

Houston and that was that I'll bet you ZZ top made three percent of their

career earnings prior to MTV that's fact no Michael that's not true I

want some a little cypress in 72 at the high school graduation is not true you

might have seen them they didn't make any money and there's a whole group of

ZZ top fans God bless them because I hear from them and they want you to know
